My favourite beach on the Norfolk coast

Brancaster beach on the Norfolk coast is my favourite place to be for walking my dog Ruby.

Brancaster Beach is my favourite place to be on the Norfolk coast, with its miles of golden sandy beaches, there is always enough room for you and your dogs to run around on. In the summer months there is a small restriction so head westwards away from the main beach with your dogs as it can get extremely busy.

Brancaster beach is situated between Hunstanton and Wells on the coast road. If your heading from Hunstanton turn left at the crossroads (next to the church) and follow the narrow lane down to the beach. If you’re coming from Wells, turn right after The Ship Make sure you check the tide table as you can get cut off from the main road. There is a large car park (please take change) right next to the beach, a kiosk that has everything you need, toilets and even a golf course

Kite surfing has become a very popular pastime on Brancaster Beach and on windier days you will often see them whizzing about. The use of kites and buggies are restricted to certain zones to ensure visitor safety and enjoyment. Please check out their advice at the National Trust
This beautiful beach is only a 15 minute drive from our dog-friendly site at Whitehall Farm in Burnham Thorpe on the North Norfolk coast.

Fanatastic review from Emma Tagg-Mason from Barefoot Retreats in Thornham, Norfolk.

We were all really so very impressed by the overall experience of 2 posh 2 pitch! Kate made it all seem so easy to organise and you should of seen the kids faces when they arrived , kept them entertained all weekend!!! The quality of bell tent and attention to detail on the interior was perfect. Would recommend this whole experience to everyone. FABULOUS. Emma Tagg-Mason

Here’s our top 5 tips for Cooler Packing plus a few more!

With a family of 5 it’s difficult to fit it all in less than 3 coolers – and we recommend separating your meats from your other goods, if at all possible.

Stacking coolers save space.

Labelling the top of your cooler saves precious cool air from escaping while you search for the shredded cheese!
